Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Splits Its Battery by Region
Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max is the first triple 200MP phone, yet Europe gets a 7,150 mAh pack, frozen 80W charging, and a clip-on Hasselblad 10x kit.
Oppo’s Find X10 Pro Max is the first phone with three 200-megapixel rear cameras, and Europe still gets 850 mAh less battery than China. The global launch was October 21, 2026, on MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro and ColorOS 17. Review units of the Chinese 8,000 mAh pack are the ones in most camera and endurance write-ups.
The megapixel count is what the campaign leads with. The phone that actually lands in a European shop is a thinner SKU: a smaller silicon-carbon cell, last year’s 80W brick, one memory size, and a Hasselblad 10x optic that ships in a separate box.

China already had a month of sales before those global reviews. Europe is buying a different pack.
Europe Gets 7,150 mAh, China Ships 8,000
Oppo’s China spec sheet lists a typical 8,000 mAh / 29.76 Wh silicon-carbon pack (7,790 mAh / 28.98 Wh rated). The UK sheet for the same CPH2913 nameplate lists a 7,150 mAh typical European pack at 26.89 Wh (6,960 mAh / 26.17 Wh rated). That is an 850 mAh, 2.87 Wh cut on the figures shoppers actually compare.
Last year’s Find X9 Pro shipped a 7,500 mAh cell in every region. Europeans go 350 mAh backwards. Everyone else goes 500 mAh forwards. Reviewers who received the global unit are not testing the shelf phone in Frankfurt or Madrid.
TWO PACKS, ONE NAMEPLATE
| Market | Typical pack | Typical energy | Memory on sale | Charger in the box |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| China | 8,000 mAh | 29.76 Wh | 12 GB/256 GB through 16 GB/1 TB | 80W SuperVOOC |
| Europe | 7,150 mAh | 26.89 Wh | 12 GB/512 GB only | None |
Oppo points at cell-capacity rules for air transport. Road and air dangerous-goods codes treat a lithium-ion cell above a 20 Wh per cell shipping cap as fully regulated cargo, with a 100 Wh ceiling on the whole battery for simplified handling. The Chinese pack at 29.76 Wh sits far under that 100 Wh battery line, so the squeeze is at cell level, not the cabin 100 Wh rule passengers see on power banks.
Independent mixed-use testing of the 8,000 mAh unit recorded 25 hours 24 minutes of active use. A German lab running the 7,150 mAh European pack timed 22 hours 23 minutes of LTE at 60 Hz, put 60 percent back on the cell in 30 minutes, and filled it in 1 hour 5 minutes. Those are different tests on different packs. They still point the same way: the phone Europe sells is not the phone most endurance charts describe.

MediaTek’s 2nm Chip Has to Cover the Gap
Oppo is asking the silicon to do the work the missing milliamps cannot. The Dimensity 9600 Pro is MediaTek’s first announced 2nm phone chip, with a 2+3+3 all-big-core layout: two C2-Ultra cores at 4.55 GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35 GHz, and three more C2-Pro cores at 3.1 GHz. There are no little efficiency cores. MediaTek’s lab figures against the Dimensity 9500 are a 17 percent single-core lift, a 15 percent multi-core lift, and a 61% drop in multi-core power.
The Dimensity 9600 Pro meets these demands with a Native AI architecture and dual improvement in performance and power efficiency to deliver new agentic AI experiences.
JC Hsu, corporate senior vice president, MediaTek
The same brief claims 40 percent less power for always-on AI, 51 percent higher LLM prefill, 55 percent more tokens per watt, on-device models up to 30 billion parameters, a G2-Ultra NX GPU with 27 percent higher peak output, 24 percent less GPU power at that peak, 18 percent faster ray tracing, and play up to 185 fps. The chip also lists LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage. The Find X10 Pro Max ships LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1 anyway.
On a production phone, AnTuTu v12 has posted 4,278,288. That is a flagship number. It does not tell you whether the 7,150 mAh SKU, running the same 144 Hz game mode and the same three 200MP pipelines, will match last year’s 7,500 mAh all-region pack after a year of ColorOS updates.
Oppo India framed the Pro Max as the country’s first Dimensity 9600 Pro phone when it pushed the global campaign.

Early daily drivers already treat the global unit as a camera phone first and park an iPhone 18 Pro Max beside it as the spare. That pairing only describes the 8,000 mAh hardware.
The Triple 200MP Rig and Its Extra Lens
The Pro Max is the first shipping phone with a triple 200MP rear stack, and the three sensors are not clones. The main camera is Samsung’s new ISOCELL HPC, 1/1.3-inch, f/1.5, 24mm, with optical stabilization. Telephoto and ultrawide both use the older ISOCELL HP5 on 1/1.56-inch dies. The 50MP front camera shortens to 18mm, so selfies take in more of the room than last year’s tighter module.
THE FOUR CAMERAS ON THE PRO MAX
- Main, 200MP HPC: 1/1.3-inch, f/1.5, 24mm, 0.6µm pixels, PDAF and OIS; Oppo quotes up to 17 stops of dynamic range from DeepPix.
- Telephoto, 200MP HP5: 1/1.56-inch, f/2.1, 70mm, 3x optical, PDAF from 10 cm, OIS.
- Ultrawide, 200MP HP5: 1/1.56-inch, f/2.2, 13mm, autofocus.
- Front, 50MP: f/2.0, 18mm ultrawide, 1/2.76-inch, PDAF; 4K at 30 and 60 fps.
Samsung’s HPC page says DeepPix, built on front deep-trench isolation, dual vertical transfer gates and shared floating diffusion, gives 60% more full well capacity than the prior generation at the same 0.6µm pitch. The sensor does single-frame 16-bit HDR, keeps that HDR through 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x and 4x in-sensor zoom, and can record 4K at up to 180 fps. Rear video on the phone itself is 8K at 30 fps and 4K at 30, 60 or 120 fps, with Dolby Vision and LOG.
The onboard telephoto still stops at 3x. True 10x is a paid extra. Oppo’s Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit multiplies the 70mm module by 3.28x, which lands around 230mm, about 10x from the 24mm main. In that mode the phone writes 12.6MP files. The full case-plate-lens stack weighs 216 g, and the bayonet still has a little play. The phone’s built-in magnets are too weak for MagSafe-style chargers, so Oppo wants you in a Quicksand Shimmer Magnetic Case before you clip on a 22.5W 5,000 mAh UltraSlim bank or the converter plate.
That kit is the tell. A phone that needs a lanyard and a second optic to reach 10x is selling a camera system, not just a slab. Concert shooters who already used the Find X9 converter will recognise the ritual. Everyone else is paying flagship money for 3x in the pocket.
Wired Charging Is Still 80 Watts
Charge speed did not move. Wired SuperVOOC is still 80W, AirVOOC wireless is still 50W, reverse wireless is still 10W, with 44/80W UFCS, 55W PPS and 13.5W PD on the side. The global box includes the 80W brick. Europe’s box has manuals, a USB-A to USB-C cable and a silicone case. The brick stays at the shop.
A 7,150 mAh pack at the same 80W should fill a little quicker than an 8,000 mAh pack, which is what the 1 hour 5 minute German full-charge time describes. It does not make the missing 850 mAh reappear at 4 p.m. The 144 Hz ceiling is also narrower than the launch line: Oppo’s own sheets say 1-120 Hz adaptive, with 144 Hz only in some games. Peak HDR is quoted at 3,600 nits (2,000 nits high-brightness mode, 800 nits typical). A lab max reading of 2,337 nits is the measured figure, not the poster number. PWM dimming is listed at 3,840 Hz.
The body is a 6.78-inch flat LTPO AMOLED at 1,272 x 2,772 (450 ppi), 161.3 x 76.6 x 8.4 mm, 233 g in Luna White / Moon White and 235 g in the other paints, with IP66, IP68 and IP69 sealing, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.2 and an infrared port. The panel size matches last year’s Pro. The refresh and brightness claims are the display upgrade. The wattage on the cable is not.
ColorOS 17 Brings the Software Layer
The Pro Max debuts ColorOS 17 on Android 17. Oppo’s October 13 global brief hangs the release on Living Flow Design and a Laminar Flow Engine that, in Oppo Lab tests, delivers 55% more stable app launches than ColorOS 16, loads Gallery thumbnails up to 50 percent faster on first open, and holds over 25 percent more apps in memory. A unified rendering path is said to cut rendering load by up to 30 percent and rendering RAM by up to 25 percent. In a six-year wear simulation at 90 percent storage fill, Oppo says the build keeps over 90 percent of its opening smoothness.
The AI layer is thicker on paper than in every region. AI Mind Pilot’s Agent Mode can sort on-device photos and files, rename them, and build itineraries. AI Photo Agent matches a reference image’s palette or takes a text prompt. AI Mind Space files documents and links into searchable memories. OSee, from the shutter, routes a scene to lookup, translation or a scan. Several of those tools do not land evenly. AI Photo Agent is scheduled later for Europe, with monthly caps. Long-document capture and link capture are not offered in Europe. AI Call Guard, the on-device scan for synthetic voices, is listed for Indonesia, India and Thailand.
Older Find X9, Find N and Reno 16 phones are due ColorOS 17 from October 29, with the rest of the list running into early 2027. The Pro Max is the showroom for that software. European buyers still need to read the footnotes before they assume every demo feature is on the CPH2913 in the shop.
What the European SKU Leaves Out
The series is Find X10 E, Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. There is no Find X10 Pro in this cycle, so the Pro Max is the stand-in for last year’s Pro on size and kit. The standard Find X10 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600M, a 6.59-inch panel and a dual 200MP rear set, and it follows the same 8,000 / 7,150 mAh regional split. Europe’s Pro Max is the tighter of the two flagships.
EUROPEAN PRO MAX CUTS
- The cell: 7,150 mAh / 26.89 Wh typical, against 8,000 mAh / 29.76 Wh in China.
- The drawer: one 12 GB + 512 GB LPDDR5X / UFS 4.1 option; no 16 GB, no 1 TB.
- Satellite: listed only on the 16 GB / 1 TB phone, which Europe does not sell.
- The brick: no 80W charger in the European retail box.
- The paint: UK sheets show Titanium Grey and Luna White; China also sells Warm Orange.
- The software: AI Photo Agent later, long-doc and link capture omitted, Call Guard not listed for EU countries.
UFS 4.1 and LPDDR5X are the quiet ones. MediaTek announced the 9600 Pro as a first-wave UFS 5.0 and LPDDR6 chip. Oppo kept the older memory and storage on every Find X10 Pro Max, including China. Buyers who wanted the node’s full I/O story will not find it in this chassis, at any price.
Shenzhen Prices and the European Sticker
China pre-orders opened at CNY 6,799 ($1,015) for 12 GB / 256 GB, CNY 7,499 for 12 GB / 512 GB, CNY 7,999 for 16 GB / 512 GB and CNY 8,999 for 16 GB / 1 TB. Europe is selling one Pro Max: 12 GB / 512 GB. UK list is £1,499. Germany and France list €1,799. A £100 / €100 pre-order cut runs through October 28, 2026, which is how some store widgets show £1,399 and €1,699 this week. Pre-order extras include a choice of the Hasselblad teleconverter, an Oppo Watch X3 or an Oppo Pad 5 while stocks last.
WHAT 12 GB / 512 GB COSTS
| Configuration | China | Europe |
|---|---|---|
| 12 GB / 256 GB | CNY 6,799 | Not sold |
| 12 GB / 512 GB | CNY 7,499 | £1,499 / €1,799 list |
| 16 GB / 512 GB | CNY 7,999 | Not sold |
| 16 GB / 1 TB | CNY 8,999 | Not sold |
That European 12 GB / 512 GB phone is the one with the 7,150 mAh cell, no in-box charger, no satellite, and a 10x lens that is a bundle or an extra. India opened the series on October 22 on the 8,000 mAh hardware. The endurance charts built this week on global review units will keep circulating next to EU product pages that print 26.89 Wh.
The 2nm chip, the HPC main sensor and ColorOS 17 are the same parts in both packs. The milliamps are not. European buyers who want the phone in the camera samples should read the UK watt-hour line before they treat an 8,000 mAh test as theirs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Does the European Find X10 Pro Max Have a Smaller Battery?
Oppo’s UK sheet prints 6,960 mAh / 26.17 Wh as the rated European cell, against 7,790 mAh / 28.98 Wh rated in China, and both packs are silicon-carbon. The typical figures used in ads are 7,150 mAh and 8,000 mAh. Simplified air and road shipping treats a lithium-ion cell above 20 Wh as full dangerous goods, which is the constraint Oppo cites, not the 100 Wh cabin cap on a finished battery.
What Does the Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit Add?
It is a 3.28x optical multiplier on the 70mm telephoto, about 230mm, and the phone then saves 12.6MP stills rather than a 200MP dump. The kit includes a case, a bayonet plate, a cap and a lanyard; the assembled case-plate-lens stack is 216 g, and the converter is about 6 g lighter than the Find X9 piece while the full assembly is 3 g heavier.
Is There an Oppo Find X10 Pro This Year?
No. The 2026 line is Find X10 E, Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. The vanilla Find X10 pairs a Dimensity 9600M with a 6.59-inch panel and a dual 200MP rear set (200MP main plus 200MP periscope, 50MP ultrawide), so the Pro Max is the only triple-200MP phone in the family.
Which Memory Sizes Does Europe Sell?
Europe’s Pro Max is a single 12 GB + 512 GB LPDDR5X / UFS 4.1 SKU. China also sells 12 GB / 256 GB, 16 GB / 512 GB and 16 GB / 1 TB. Satellite connectivity is listed only on that 1 TB / 16 GB model, so it is not part of the European sheet.
Which ColorOS 17 AI Tools Are Missing in Europe?
AI Photo Agent is due later in Europe with monthly usage caps and still-image support only. Long-document capture and link capture in AI Mind Space are not available in Europe. AI Call Guard is listed for Indonesia, India and Thailand, not for EU countries. Flight and train cards and Spotify suggestions in AI Mind Suggest are country-limited.
Pre-order extras in Europe run through October 28. The 7,150 mAh CPH2913 is the unit that will sit on those shelves, whatever the 8,000 mAh charts say.
